A message from Youth in Action Coordinators:
These past few months have been a whirlwind for our communities within St. Louis County. Youth in Action is all about service. Engaging young people to make St. Louis County a better place to live. How do we provide service and add value to our community when we’re supposed to social distance? For an organization that works hard to bring young people together, what do we do now?
Kyle Willkom spoke at our 2020 YIA Make a Difference Conference. For those that couldn’t attend, we’ll give you a refresher. He said the same old thinking is going to get us the same old results. WELL right now we can’t do our same old thinking – we truly have to think outside the box. We have to be the HERO: Help, Engage, Respond & Own Our Power. Kyle challenged us to make one positive difference every day in the life of someone else. Remember the writing across our foreheads? “Make me feel important”. This is exactly what YIA is going to do.
Our mission remains the same to maintain and support young people. We challenge you to be the HERO.
We encourage you to stay connected with Tyler, Angela, Taryn & Elise.
We want to hear from you.
We cannot emphasize this enough.
We are here for YOU!
